  i had planned for a weeks holiday for a Melbourne to Sydney coastal road trip. I had booked 3 hotels most of them non-refundable options. Unfortunately one of my family members had to be hospitalised and I had to cancel the entire trip. 2 out of the 3 hotels cancelled and provided me full refund owing to the reason for my cancellation but only for one. They were profit minded, uncaring. I tried to explain the situation and was even happy to provide medical references to prove my genunity. The person on the other side was not willing to listen and simply keep explaining me the rules. I accept and honour the rules and policies but some situations are unavoidable and business which understands and accommodates these unique situations of customer will thrive and prosper. just thought of sharing my experience so that it can help others in future.
